THIS IS FOR EVERY PERSON WHO OVERTHINKS
Hey! So you think a lot? I mean, a hell lot? Okay. I will tell you what it is. You are stupid. You waste your time thinking when you should be doing things. You just think and that is it. You are no asset to this world. And, yes, you are no asset to yourself, either. You are a psycho. Get some help. Please. For the sake of the humankind, go to a therepist!
Okay.
Are you coming for me with a knife in your hand to stab me?! Wait. Wait. WAIT.
Ignore that paragraph. Please. It was just to test you, to test how much you think. And guess what, you really do think a lot, don't you? Otherwise you wouldn't have come here. Oh my, after all, I am not alone in this. Let me take a deeeeep breath. Yes. We are good to go.
Well, thanks for coming here. You are taking out time for this, and this means a lot to me. I will never be able to thank you enough. (Don't you want me to shut up and say what I want to say? I told you, you are an overthinker, reading stuff written by a psycho-overthinker. I would love it if you would be patient. Thanks.)
Why do you think a lot? Ask yourself this question. I know, I know, you have dealt with many people who have advised you not to think too much. You have also dealt with people who really don't care if you think too much or not. Yes. I know this. Let's just ignore those people for a moment. I promise we will get back to them (because why not, I hate them for doing this to you). Okay, so is there a reason why you think so much? If you are like me, then no! You're like, "Um, I thought I could answer that, but I cannot!" You are fine, babe (adjust according to your gender). There is so much going on around you. And if you think and analyze those things, it is not a big deal. You overthink because you don't want to let others down. You actually love your loved ones so much that you think about the things you said and the things you did to just make sure you weren't rude. I get it. You think about what THEY did and said to see what they meant. I know, you have a built-in cryptographer. You are very sensitive. You feel bad about any thing that you think was bad (and if you are 100% like me, you cry until your eyes are bleeding). This is just so stressful, man. You think about if you gave your best or not. You think about if you mean anything to anyone. Yes, you think about that cute guy/girl you saw in the bookstore today and if he/she is a match for you. You think about your crush, yes you do. There is so much going on in that tiny little beautiful brain. Your brain cells, yes you have got zillions of them, are working all the time! You think about family, you think about friends, you think about career, you think about school, you think about love, and you think about enemies (let's not forget them). And do you know the reason why you eat so much and don't seem to gain fat, at all? (Brain calories. Well, I am no scientist, but this is actually true.)
Oh my, I know that was a huge ride. Did you forget someone? There is one person you don't think about. Who is that? Is it you? Isn't it? Do you think about yourself, your wellbeing, your health, your happiness, your life in general? You think about those people who in the end blame you for being an overthinker. Oh man, you made a slight mistake here. I mean, why do you care about those who don't care about YOUR feelings? You feel like you don't deserve them. The truth is, they don't deserve you! Do you think they will ever appreciate the fact that you are such a compassionate person, you think about others so much and in the end, let yourself down? They would not!
Your heart needs someone who understands you. You were born like this. You are not a mistake. This "thinking problem" is not a problem, actually. It is the solution. This is what I got you here for.
Do you know how much you affect your health by blaming yourself, your mistakes and your weaknesses? You actually do. You stress out. Your head pains, literally so much! You get depressed. Your productivity drops down. You start procrastinating. You blame yourself! You let yourself down. How can you do that?
Remember, if no one else does, I love you for being like this. All of us love you. You are no problem. You are the asset. I want you to know this.
From now, I want you to remember to ask yourself these questions before thinking about ANYTHING:
Thinking about past does so much bad to your health. Migraine is one of them. And performance deterioration is the other. Practice mindfulness. Meditate. Do self-introspection (which is the thing you HAVE to do if you think a lot). Spend time with family and loved ones. Be with people who don't let you down and accept you for who you are.
I want you to wear that "Overthinker" badge with pride. You are an asset. We don't meet people like you these days. We need you. You are the only parts left in the humanity who are really 'humane'. From next time, if anyone tells you, "You think a heck lot. Go to a therepist." Remember what I told you. Not that "don't take it seriously" part, just punch them in the face. Did I tell you that? No? Okay I told you now, better late than never.
Disclaimer (in the end):
I am no scientist.
I love you so much.
I didn't get you here to be attacked.
I want you to be understood.
Love you.
Remember to punch them in the face. And don't say sorry.
P.S. Do you know how much I love you?
Unbelievable-much.
Okay.
